The Connect 2 Tech Scholarship is for students who are interested in pursuing a certificate or degree in Health Information Technology at the University of Arkansas Monticello (UAM) or a certificate or degree in Behavioral Health Technology at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas PCCUA. Both programs are available online and/or in person at either college campus. The scholarship will be a full tuition, fees, books, and supplies paid scholarship renewable each semester with funds being paid directly to the college. Scholarship recipients will also receive a laptop to assist with completion of program, paid certification, internship placement assistance, and job placement assistance. Award will cover full tuition for students; however other scholarships will be taken into consideration. (Example- if the scholarship recipient has the academic challenge/ Arkansas lottery scholarship or another institutional scholarship the Connect 2 Tech scholarship will pick up after that aid is paid.)


 There will be no cash returned to the scholarship recipient from the Connect 2 Tech scholarship. 2. Scholarship recipient must be admitted into either UAM- Crossett or PCCUA before applying. 3. Scholarship recipient must be from one of the following counties to be eligible for award: Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Calhoun, Chicot, Cleveland, Dallas, Desha, Drew, Grant, Jefferson, Lee, Monroe, Ouachita, Phillips, or Union County.


 4. Scholarship recipient must sign FERPA form that will allow a representative from ARHP to conduct grade and attendance checks throughout the program. 5. Scholarship will be renewed upon successful completion of each semester. 6. Scholarship will be paid directly to UAM- or Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (program director can assist with this if needed) 7. Scholarship recipient will submit the following: 


● Scholarship application ● High school transcript (Recent high school graduates within 2 years only) ● College transcript(s) (If applicable) ● A Letter of Recommendation (1) ● Proof of admission from selected college (i.e. letter of acceptance or current class schedule) 8. Scholarship recipient shall not be excluded from scholarship regardless of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, or creed. 


9. Satisfactory academic progress must be made, or scholarship recipient will be required to meet with the committee and possibly repay funds to ARHP. 10.Scholarship recipient may be required to submit a written essay, if grant funds for award are restricted.
